Handcrafted mathematics

I stand for the handcrafted creation for research in mathematics and against the use of generative AI in this context. If the creative possibilities of this new technology could allow major and unpredictable breakthroughs, one should not underestimate the harmful consequences it can have on our scientific community as well as our society. I think that generative AI forces us to a profond thinking about the meaning of our profession and our way of interacting scientifically together. In particular, it is important to prioritize quality of scientific production over quantity and to think about inevitable biases in recruitment.
